Find Your Fit

Choosing the correct StomaCloak

Do you use a 1-Piece Pouch System or a 2-Piece Pouch System? If you have a separate barrier/wafer and ostomy pouch that you “click” together, you are using a 2-Piece Pouch System. If your pouch sticks directly to your skin without a separate barrier/wafer, then you use a 1-Piece System.

One-Piece Systems are easy because it’s one-size-fits-all! Simply select the “One Piece” StomaCloak.

Two-Piece Pouch Systems use the following standard sizes:

Hollister/ConvaTec: 1 3/4 inches (44mm), 2 1/4 inches (57mm), 2 3/4 inches (70mm), and 4 inches (102mm). Your wafer size is listed on the side of your box, and it will correspond to the StomaCloak size.

Coloplast: 2 inches (40mm), 2 1/2 inches (50mm), 2 3/4 inches (70mm). Your wafer size is listed on the side of your box, and it will correspond to the StomaCloak size.

If we do not have a StomaCloak that directly aligns with your wafer size, simply select the next larger StomaCloak. For example, if you are using a 60mm wafer, and we do not have a 60mm StomaCloak available, you would select the 2 3/4 (70mm) StomaCloak size.

Hollister and ConvaTec also use color coded wafers. If your box has a colored dot, use the table below to easily find your StomaCloak size:

Remember to check the length of your pouch

Using StomaCloak

Step 1
Position StomaCloak next to appliance bag to see final orientation. Use the circular StomaCloak hole above and directed toward your body, and wide StomaCloak opening with label below.

Step 2
Pass your hand through the wide end of the StomaCloak (the end with the label) and grasp your appliance bag through the circular hole, then draw the plastic appliance bag down into the StomaCloak.

Step 3
Position the circular hole around the flanges of your appliance, and smooth out the bag within the StomaCloak. Fold flap with the StomaCloak label around the appliance, so the label is hidden.

Step 4
Tuck it in to your pants, skirt or undergarment.
